Music Theory for Beginners - It's Simpler Than You Think.

Have you ever heard people say music theory is rocket science? If you have, that’s not entirely true. And even if it were, I’ll make it simple enough to understand.  By the end of this blog, you’ll snap that “rocket science” myth out of existence (Thanos-style). Keep your notebook ready (and don’t forget the coffee). Welcome to the world of music theory. Music Alphabets Let’s rewind to kindergarten: A for Apple, B for Ball, C for Cat… all the way to Z for Zebra. Twenty-six letters. Complicated enough. Music? Much simpler. Just 7 letters : A B C D E F G Here’s the twist: music doesn’t start at A. It starts at C . So the order goes like this: C D E F G A B C D E… (and keeps looping) Sharps & Flats Just like English has capital and small letters, music has sharps and flats .
